5 Months

Weight: 15 lbs 3 0z
Height: 26 3/4 inches
Diapers: Size 2

You love to suck on your index fingers...sometimes you gnaw a little to hard and you hurt yourself, or give yourself a little sore on your finger.

Eating Habits:
5 oz bottles every 4-5 hours.
Accomplishments:
-You roll over like a pro! Back to front, front to back and all around.
-You are starting to scoot just a little, moving your arms and legs and pulling yourself forward. We can't wait!
-You "talk" more and more every day, and love to hear your voice.
-You can hold your own bottle and feed yourself.

Things to remember:
- You had surgery on Dec 2nd at Banner Desert Hospital. You were born with penile torsion and
the doctor was not able to circumcise you when you were born. Because the surgery required you to be under full anesthesia, they decided to wait until you were a little older. You handled the surgery like a champ and we have had to give you very little Tylenol for pain....what a tough guy!
-You like to be part of the family. You fuss and cry if you are not close enough to your family or the action.
-You like to be held and played with, but you aren't really a snuggly guy.
- You LOVE to be outside, you are so curious about the world around you.

4 Months

Weight: 14 lbs 8 oz (50th percentile)
Height: 26 1/2 inches (95th percentile)
Diapers: Size 2

Eating Habits: 4-5 oz bottles every 3-4 hours

Discoveries: You found your feet this month and although it's a bit hard for you to reach them still, you like to smile at them when they are in your sights.

Accomplishments: You've rolled over several times from your back to your tummy but we have still never actually seen it happen. You're just sneaky! You are "talking" a lot and make lots of cute noises.

Things to remember: During your most recent well check Dr Letizia said that your neck looks great! You are a tall baby.

In utero the doctors discovered that both of your kidney's were slightly dilated (probably a slight obstruction). We had several ultrasounds throughout the pregnancy to keep an eye on them. We had a follow-up appointment this month to check and see how you were doing. Your left kidney is still slightly dilated and the doctor wants to follow up again in 6 months and your right kidney is almost completely normal - good job!

Your nicknames are "O" and "Ollie Ollie Oliver". Lincoln loves to call you "O".

There is a little bit of spunkyness in that expression!

1st Halloween

At just over 4 months old, Oliver celebrated his first Halloween and as you can see, he was totally thrilled!
Lincoln got a little tiny pumpkin basket at school and decided it was the perfect size for Oliver.

I don't think there is another kid who's more proud to don a Superman costume

Well, he's got heart!

Oliver Roll Up

I just went in to Oliver's room to get him from his nap and he was on his tummy. In other words, Oliver rolled from his back to his tummy for the first time on his own today.

Yay Oliver!

3 Months

Weight: 13 lbs 13 oz
Height: 25 3/4 inches
Diapers: Size 2

Eating Habits: 4 oz bottles every 3 -4 hours (you want to eat more, but you spit up alot).

Discoveries: You have started reaching out for toys or holding small stuffed animals that we give you. You love to suck on your hands. In fact, you will pretty much suck on anything but a binky. You love looking in the mirror and at colorful books. You love "playing the drums" on your bumbo chair.

Accomplishments: You've started rolling up on to your side. You've started cooing and laughing a lot...your new main tickle spot is on your chin (just like big brother Lincoln).

Things to remember: Your pediatrician Dr. Letizia feels that your torticollis has improved enough to end formal physical therapy! Yay! Daddy will still need to help you stretch your neck muscles several times a day, which you REALLY hate.
